Must read books!

I am a total book-worm.

Books are a retreat, a silent source of knowledge and understanding, and sometimes a method of peaceful meditation.

I have been reading books on ‘knowledge of self’ since in my teens. After reading books at school like Miyamoto Musashi’s ‘Go Rin No Sho’ (trans: Book of 5 Rings) and Machiavelli’s ‘The Prince’ in my school days, I then graduated from university and used to frequent the Borders bookshop in Tottenham Court Road with a pile of books on my little table next to a pot of jasmine tea of an evening after work.

During my 20s that I discovered key authors like Diane Dreher, Sun Tzu, Simon Covey, Louise L. Hay, Soren Kierkegaard, Templar…

During my 30s I discovered authors like: Gina Ford, Steve Biddulph, Gary Chapman, Tracy Hogg, Simone Cave, Marcus Aurelius, Heidi Murkoff and Sharon Mazel, Dr Gowri Motha, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa…

During my 40s I have been discovering authors like: Marie Kondo, Temple Grandin, Dr John A. King, Dr Tina Bryson, Dr Dan Siegel, Eva A Mendes, James Rhodes, Staci Haines, Gillan Drew, Elizabeth Verdick and Elizabeth Reeve, Rachel Simhon, Sarah Ockwell-Smith…

What I hope to do within this area of the blog is to review and highlight some of the books that I have found most effective and supportive on my journey and in my life to date.

Happy reading!
